DONHONSIL designs elastomer sealing solutions for pipelines, pumps, and equipment. They emphasize resilience, vibration damping, and easy installation.
As a precision manufacturer, we supply standard and custom geometries to EN 1514-1 and ASME B16.21. Materials are matched to the media, temperature, and pressure.
These components seal when flange load is limited, faces are uneven, or vibration and noise reduction are desired. They complement metallic and graphite options for low-to-medium pressure and utility lines. Benefits include fast installation, good recoverability, and electrical isolation where needed.
We match compounds to service conditions to balance sealing reliability, compression set, and service life.
✅NBR (Nitrile): Oil and fuel resistant for pumps, compressors, and hydrocarbon lines at moderate temperatures; cost-effective for general service.
✅EPDM: Resists water, utility steam, diluted alkalis/acids, and weathering/ozone; suited to water treatment, HVAC, and outdoor duties.
✅FKM (Viton): Handles aggressive chemicals, oils, and fuels at higher temperatures; used in chemical processing and refinery utilities.
✅Silicone: Broad temperature stability, flexible sealing with low compression force; food-grade options for hygienic equipment.
✅Neoprene: Balanced oil resistance, good weatherability, and flame resistance for marine, refrigeration, and general service.
✅Reinforced and faced types: Fabric-reinforced, PTFE-faced, and metal-bonded profiles reduce creep, improve blowout resistance, and extend chemical compatibility while keeping elastomer compliance.
Standard flange sizes follow EN 1514-1 and ASME B16.21 (DN/NPS). We also produce full-face, ring, slotted, dovetail, and complex profiles from CAD. Typical thickness ranges from 0.5 to 10.0 mm with Shore A hardness from 40 to 90, selected for available bolt load and surface finish. Die-cut, waterjet, and CNC flash cutting deliver clean edges and repeatable fit, with typical cutting tolerances of ±0.5 mm (size dependent). PSA-backed parts are available for efficient assembly and vertical flange retention.
Elastomer seals compress to conform to minor flange irregularities and achieve tight sealing with moderate bolt loads. Compounds with low compression set support long-term service, and elastic recovery helps maintain integrity under bolt relaxation. These materials also damp vibration and reduce noise in rotating equipment and supports. As non-metallic insulators, they can break stray current paths in mixed-metal systems and tolerate thermal cycling without embrittlement when properly selected.
We combine in-house tooling and molding for complex profiles with multi-process cutting for tight nesting and minimal waste. Part marking and branding support traceable maintenance and kitting. Each batch is checked for Shore hardness, tensile strength, thickness, and visual quality. On request, we conduct compression-set, media-soak, and aging tests, and provide material certificates with batch traceability.
✅Water, HVAC, and utilities: EPDM and neoprene in pumps, valves, and ducting exposed to water, steam, or outdoors.
✅Oil, fuel, and industrial lines: NBR and FKM for lubricants, fuels, and mixed hydrocarbons in machinery and storage.
✅Hygienic and light chemical processes: Silicone, including food-grade variants, for sanitary lines and equipment with thermal cycling.
✅Selection: Match compound to media and temperature. Choose hardness for the available bolt load and flange finish. Set thickness to balance conformability and blowout resistance. For aggressive chemicals or higher temperatures, consider FKM or PTFE-faced constructions.
✅Installation: Inspect flange faces, align bolt holes, and tighten in a star pattern with calibrated torque. Avoid over-compression; re-torque after initial thermal cycles if required. Store parts flat, away from UV and ozone.
For higher pressure/temperature duties, consider spiral wound, kammprofile, or graphite gaskets. For aggressive chemicals and anti-creep needs, use PTFE or expanded PTFE cut parts. Insulation kits help manage galvanic corrosion and stray current in mixed-metal pipelines.

Q: Can these gaskets provide electrical isolation?
A: Yes. Non-conductive materials and dedicated insulation kits can interrupt stray currents in mixed-metal systems.
Q: What information should I include in a request for quote?
A: Provide size/standard (EN 1514-1 or ASME B16.21), media, temperature, pressure, quantity, thickness, hardness target, and any special features such as PSA backing or PTFE facing.
