Since 2004, Ningbo Dongheng Sealing has manufactured precision RTJ gaskets for flanged connections exposed to high pressure and temperature. Products are engineered to ASME B16.20 and API 6A and used in oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, metallurgy, and other critical services.
✅Oval: Seats well on older or worn grooves. A practical choice for legacy equipment.
✅Octagonal: Produces higher unit load for improved sealing on modern grooves.
Both profiles are turned to tight tolerances for uniform contact stress from Class 600 upward.
RX is pressure-energized. As system pressure rises, the gasket enhances its seal. Geometry controls bite into the groove to support leak-tightness under fluctuating loads while limiting flange wear.
BX suits very high-pressure systems and compact flanges per API 6A. Accurate machining and surface finish promote reliable metal-to-metal engagement, including demanding subsea-style connections.
Material selection is matched to flange hardness and media to prevent galling and groove damage. Options include:
✅Carbon steel and soft iron for non-corrosive, moderate-temperature service with cost efficiency.
✅Stainless steels and nickel alloys for corrosion resistance, elevated temperature, or sour service.
Gasket hardness is kept below the flange to safeguard seating surfaces. Surface finish is controlled to support consistent initial seating and long-term stability.
Dimensional compliance follows ASME B16.20 and API 6A for interchangeability. Sizes cover common ring numbers for Class 600–2500 and beyond across R, RX, and BX profiles. Each unit can be marked with material grade, ring number, heat code, and optional logo for traceability.
These gaskets deliver predictable metal-to-metal sealing where elastomeric materials are unsuitable. Controlled load-bearing engagement supports stable operation during thermal and pressure cycling.
Used on wellheads, manifolds, and high-pressure process units. Materials are selected for hydrocarbons, sour gas, and aggressive media.
Applied in steam lines, heat exchangers, steelmaking, and general manufacturing where pressure peaks and cycling demand consistent sealing.
✅Verify groove type, ring number, and surface condition. Clean, burr-free grooves reduce leakage risk.
✅Lightly lubricate studs and nuts. Align flanges, tighten in a star pattern, and apply controlled torque.
✅Do not reuse RTJ gaskets. Handle by the edges and store dry to protect sealing faces.
Provide the details below for accurate supply:
✅Profile: R (oval or octagonal), RX, or BX
✅Ring number/size and pressure class
✅Material and desired hardness range
✅Standard: ASME B16.20 or API 6A
✅Quantity and marking preferences
OEM/ODM, logo marking, low MOQs, and protected packaging are available. Coordinated logistics and documentation support global shipments from Cixi, Zhejiang.
R is the baseline profile (oval or octagonal). RX is pressure-energized for higher classes and fluctuating loads. BX is for very high pressure and compact flanges per API 6A.
Reuse is not recommended. Deformation during first installation is essential for sealing and may not repeat reliably.
Select a gasket softer than the mating flange to protect the groove. Use carbon steel or soft iron for non-corrosive service, and stainless or nickel alloys for corrosive, hot, or sour media.
1、Spiral wound gaskets for raised-face or flat-face flanges with thermal cycling and vibration.
2、Kammprofile (serrated) metallic gaskets for high seating stress with reduced flange load.
3、PTFE and reinforced graphite options for aggressive chemicals and elevated temperatures in non-RTJ flanges.
