Het is gemaakt van massief metalen smeedstukken. Geschikt voor werkomstandigheden onder hoge druk en hoge temperaturen. De afdichting van de ringverbindingspakking maakt gebruik van een zeer hoge eenheidsbelasting om een metaal-op-metaal draadafdichting te creëren tussen de ring en het flensafdichtingsoppervlak.
Het materiaal van de ringverbindingspakking moet zachter zijn dan het flensafdichtingsoppervlak om schade aan de pakking aan de afdichting te voorkomen
flensafdichtingsoppervlak. Het ontwerp van de pakking of het profiel moet worden gekozen op basis van de structuur van het flensafdichtingsoppervlak en de maximale ontwerpsysteemdrukwaarde. Om een effectieve afdichting te bereiken en te behouden, moeten de nauwkeurigheid van de pakking en het flensafdichtingsoppervlak, de maatnauwkeurigheid en de hardheid van de pakking zorgvuldig worden gecontroleerd.

Informatie over ringvormige pakking (RTJ):
· Alle pakkingen zijn voorzien van permanente markeringen op laagspanningsstaal, identificatietype, ringnummer, materialen en normen
· Alle pakkingen voldoen volledig aan ASME B16.20, API 6A-specificaties of andere toepasselijke normen
· Alle pakkinggrondstoffen zijn volledig traceerbaar en relevante documentatie is beschikbaar
· Nauwkeurige controle van de hardheid van het materiaal van de ringverbindingspakking om de afdichtingsprestaties te garanderen, terwijl schade aan het flensafdichtingsoppervlak wordt vermeden
·Met de juiste keuze van het pakkingmateriaal kan de ringverbindingspakking agressieve chemische media en hoge temperaturen van 1.000°C (1.832°F) afdichten

Type DH-RJ-RX |
1, het RX-type RTJ heeft zijn unieke zelfdichtende eigenschappen. Het hellende vlak aan de buitenkant van de ring maakt contact met het buitenringoppervlak van de RTJ-flensgroef om een afdichting te vormen. Wanneer de interne druk toeneemt, verhoogt de pakkingbelasting de spanning die door de flensgroeven wordt gegenereerd dienovereenkomstig, wat het afdichtingseffect verder verbetert 2.
